Leighton Buzzard HC is looking to recruit a confident Head Coach who seeks an exciting challenge in striving to promote both the Ladies 1st and 2nd XI squads during the 2017/18 season.
Their primary role will be to provide structured and motivational training sessions, incorporating fitness with both skill exercises and game play scenarios. The Coach must also ensure unbiased team selection takes place to field the strongest teams each week.
The Ladies 1’s finished 2nd in the Premier division last year and were unlucky not to be promoted into the East league. This year they will be focused on finishing in first place and getting the promotion, they deserve. The Ladies 2nd XI played in the Premier Division last season, but struggled to gain the points they needed to remain. As such, they will be playing in Division 1 this season. The team will be seeking a solid performance with the hope of being promoted back into Five Counties Prem. A strong coach will be needed to motivate and maintain enthusiasm across both teams.
The successful candidate shall be available to coach both the 1st and 2nd XI squads on a Tuesday evening and, in addition, be able to attend all 1st XI matches (both home and away). They will also hold at least a Level 1 Coaching qualification with aspirations to gaining further qualifications, a DBS certificate and have a practical and modern coaching style.
