University of Bedfordshire Hockey club have contacted Leighton Buzzard Hockey Club for our support for a challenge!
As part of Sport Relief this year they are planning a Hockey Marathon with the start being 5pm Friday 23rd March and the finish time being 12pm Sunday 25th March. They appreciate that playing through the night is a big ask from other teams but without it the challenge will be impossible to complete. Ideally the plan is for a university mixed team to be playing against another opposition at all times whether that be another University team, a local club or another University hockey club.
Throughout the event they are planning to have entertainment for kids in the university areas, food and drink available to purchase with proceeds added to the pot as well as a raffle featuring hockey and non-hockey related prizes.
Could Leighton Buzzard be part of this challenge?
