LBHC Ladies Development Pathway

As captains and coaches, we have noticed a need for fluidity between the four ladies' teams. We have been thinking of ways to aid progression for aspiring players through the teams.

Our Answer = Development Squad(s)

Each team will have a development squad of around 6 players who have been identified by their captain and coaches as having potential to play for a higher team in season(s) to come.

Those players in the development squad will be invited to train with the team above every 4-6 weeks throughout the season, and may have the opportunity to join them for games.

This will allow them to get to know the members of the team and develop their skills while building confidence playing at a higher level. Where required we will put in place a buddy system from the higher team to provide support to the new player.

This group of players is ever evolving. Players can be invited into the group at any point or can put themselves forward if they want to develop their game. This may not be the only way to be invited to play for a higher team, captains and coaches will be continually scouting players as usual.

We hope that you'll welcome the development squad players at training and give them encouragement. This will also support the selection process we already have in place.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to talk to your captains or myself.

Thanks.
