Leighton Buzzard Men's 1st v Tring Men's 1st

Leighton travelled to local rivals Tring looking to get back to winning ways after their disappointing result last week.

Leighton started positively with a new look back line, forced on them through injuries and formation changes. Some calm defending and swift counter attacking meant although Leighton did not have the share of the possession, they remained a threat.

Leighton did well to nullify the Tring attacking options, leading to a scoreless draw at half time.

The second half started much the same as the first, with Tring settling into their attacking mindset early. The pressure took its toll not long after the restart, with two well worked goals in quick succession. A mix up at the back led to Tring knocking in a third soon after. Leighton regained their composure and began to look more of a threat, with neat link up play between Man of the match Tristan Hardy, Mark Stephenson and Tommy Lakins. The scoreline however did not change for the remainder of the game despite the away teams best efforts.
