4-2

Oxford, who are bottom of the table, knew they had to pressure Leighton, in this must win game.
Oxford started the game, putting Leighton on the back foot, from the word go, after a lot of end to end hockey was played, Oxford scored, so Leighton pushed forward with some good play down the wings from Will Giltrow and David Fry, but this left gaps, causing Oxford to score again.
2-0 down, Leighton continued to press forward, with more great play down the wings, where Dave Jackson crossed the ball to find Mark Stephenson in the D, where he took his shot, only to be deflected into Jackson's path, where Jacko neatly reversed flicked it into the bottom corner.
Leighton knew they were back in the game, and continued to push forward, with some great running from Chris Marshall, then Oli Parren fired the ball into the D, where player of the match Jackson received the ball and fired the ball into the bottom corner.
2-2 and the game was theirs for the taking, continuing to push for more goals, Leighton was caught on the break, giving Oxford a short corner, which they neatly tucked away, making it 3-2 just before half time.
Leighton started the second half strongly, but with some interceptions, Oxford came straight down the middle, where Gordon Browne stopped one on the line, but Oxford kept the pressure on, only to score again. 4-2 down, Leighton continued to try and get back in the game but to no avail. Game finished 4-2.
