Leighton Buzzard Men’s 1st Team – Sonning Men’s 3rd Team

Leighton got off to a good start with some great passing round the back by Will Giltrow, Tim Bellamy and Dan Edwards who were getting the ball around nicely to Matt Franklin and Dan Lambart. Leighton got their first goal from some nice stick work from Tristan Hardy and Mark Stephenson which resulted in Mark finding Nick Marshall from a great run who passed to David Fry who scored a nice reverse stick shot which sailed into the net. END HALF
SECOND HALF
Leighton got off to another good start with the midfield finding Ben Smith, Tommy Lakins and Nick Marshall who where making good runs. Leighton's second goal came from a great team effort which involved lots of passing around the D until Mark found an opening and took his shot. Leighton got caught out on a break after a short which involved Sonning getting into the D and getting a shot off which Stuart McDonald tipped over the bar with ease. Leighton were dominating the game with some great runs from Tristan and Nick but Leighton's final goal came when Dan Edwards dispossessed Sonning's defender sprinting into space and finding Nick Marshall who pulled the ball back to Fry running in at the top of the D who made a spectacular dive and hit the ball straight in to the bottom right corner.
