Leighton made the long trek to Wallingford hoping to capitalise on the previous weeks win. With yet more team changes it took leighton time to settle and after about 15 mins fell behind. However the leighton response was immediate with Tim Bellamy somehow managing to cross the ball for Dave Jackson to pounce, and keep his goal a game average continuing. The rest of the half was end to end and despite leighton being reduced to 10 men for some of this, for a very slight misdemeanour, managed to hold on to keep the score at 1-1 at half time. Leighton hoped to press forward and get the win but despite the midfield runs of Josh Wavish, Chris Marshall and Dave Hooker it just wasn't to be. As leighton pushed higher and higher it left the leighton defence exposed and Wallingford managed to score three further goals, all breakaways. The overall result wasn't an accurate reflection of the game and leighton, on the whole, played well. Next week sees the unbeaten league leaders, Eastcote, visit and with more team changes inevitable it will be a tough game. Mom was Will Riley for is defensive contribution in an unaccustomed left-back position.
