Leighton men's seconds lost 8-2 to top of the table Eastcote in what was a very entertaining game of hockey. Leighton started the brighter of the two teams and enjoyed most of the possession in the first 10 minutes. Leighton also created half chances and won a number of short corners but Leighton could not score. Eastcote started to enjoy more of the ball and through slick passing managed to convert a number of half chances into goals from clinical finishes proving why they are top of the league. Leighton had to defend deep with great work from Canty and Bellamy and goalkeeper Galloway making a number of fine saves. Eventually Leighton
were rewarded with two break away goals from Wavish junior who followed up well after good work from Marshall, Jackson and Child's. The score didn't reflect the hard work and commitment Leighton contributed and we should take great confidence into the next game. Mom Josh Wavish
