Men continue their good form, smashing local rivals 7-1

Leighton knew this was a must win game against their local rivals. With back to back wins, Leightons form was good.
Leighton started very strong, with some great passing from Clive Warncken, Leighton continued to attack and was rewarded with a short corner, where Dave Wavish struck from the top of the D with a venomous shot, finding the back board making it 1-0.
Aylesbury started to push forward, but only for them to leave a lot of gaps for Leighton to attack into, where Matt Nash skilfully went past two defenders and won another short corner, Dave Jackson pushed the ball into the top of D, where Tim Bellamy fired the ball straight at the keeper, where Ash Barnett was first to react from the keepers save, only for Ash's shot to hit a defender behind the goal keeper, Leighton were awarded the penalty flick, where the skipper Dave Jackson stepped up to take it..... Jackson flicked it towards the keepers left, where he got a hand to it, but not enough for the powerful shot, which deflects into the roof of the net, making it 2-0 to the home team.
Aylesbury knew they had to pressure Leighton, which they did, resulting in a short corner for them, which they took full advantage of, firing it hard at keeper Jim Galloway's feet where it deflected off, making it 2-1.
Leighton fought back though with some good passing around the back from Marc Scott, and father and son duo Dave and Josh Wavish, to player of the match Clive Warncken, then to Oli Parren and Dave Hooker, where Leighton won another short corner. Jackson pushed the ball out but not to the top of the D, where the defenders thought it was going, but a nice short pass to Dave Canty, where he struck a powerful shot to make it 3-1.
Halftime whistle blew much to the relief of Aylesbury, as Leightons tails were up. Aylesbury started but only to be pressured into making mistakes, where Matt pounced on, n passed it out wide to a Josh Wavish run, which he took it up the byline, linking up with Matt, where he hit in into Ash's path, where he swept it past the keeper.
Now 4-1 up, you would think Leighton would ease off but no, Leighton continued to push for more goals, where some more good link up play from Tim and Clive, ended up with another short corner, where Dave Wavish smacked it in, where the keeper pushes into Ash's path, only for him to hit it into a defender behind the keeper. Another penalty flick was awarded, where the skipper stepped up again..... Jackson kept his cool and flicked it in, sending the keeper the wrong way.
Now 5-1 up, Leighton still weren't done, with more great play from Oli n Clive, where Clive worked his way into the D, where he struck a reverse hit towards goal, which was going goal bound, only for goal poacher Jackson to get a nik on it before it crosses the line, making it 6-1. Clive, Canty and Tim continued to boss the midfield, leading to Clive smashing it into the D, where Jackson was at the back post to slot it home, making it 7-1, which concluded the scoring and the game.
