Leighton knew it was going to be at tough game from the start, against an unbeaten league leader side.
Leighton started slow out the blocks, where as Eastcote where straight on Leighton like a flash, the opposition kept stringing passes together, and it was long before the scored. Leighton were cleared shocked at the lack of possession they had, as Eastcote kept the pressure on and attacked wave after wave. At halftime they were up 5-0 and Leighton didn't like they could get in the game.
Second half began and Eastcote tried to start like the first but Leighton knuckled down and played to a more defensive role, with man of the match Jim Galloway in goal, keeping a lot of their shots out, but the opposition were relentless and started to score again. 9-0 down and Leighton still tried to play to their strengths which resulted in a short corner where Pete Marshall scored. Final score 9-1.
