Amersham & Chalfont 3XI v LB men's 2XI

Leighton once again started the game strongly, with some great link up play between Josh Gale and Ben Smith, ripping the Amersham defence apart with some lovely one twos, where Josh drew the keeper out and passed to Ben, who scored into an empty goal. 1-0 up and Amersham looked a little rattled but started to get back into the game, with some great defending from Tim Bellamy, Stuart Retford and David Wavish holding off their attacks, but Amersham's rapid youngsters turned up their pace and run straight through LB's defence, which lead to a goal. 1-1 and the game all square, both teams pushed for the win,with great battling from Fraser Retford in the middle of the park, and some amazing saves from goal keeper David Thompson. Leighton came close on quite a few occasions but to no avail, then Amersham in the last minute get a short corner, which after some scrappy play the opposition scored. Game finished 2-1 and Player of the match was Tim Bellamy.
