Comeback kids

Leighton started the game strongly, controlling the speed of the game, with a lot of possession, and it wasn't long before LBs midfield Tim Bellamy, Oliver Joy and Matthew Nash started pulling the strings and finding the forwards Stuart Retford, Fraser Retford and David Jackson, where Leighton won a short corner, which was narrowly missed. Leighton continued to put Bucks under pressure and make mistakes, where LBs defence pounced on the loose balls, where David Wavish, Will Riley, Martin Bailey and Will Jenkinson calmly passing the round the back. South Bucks started to push forward and finally got some shots away, Wavish hit the ball out from the 16 straight to the forward Jackson, where the skipper Jackson touches the ball pass the defender, for him to run onto, clean through on goal and only the keeper to beat, Jackson dummies the keeper one way and goes the other, with the keeper already on the floor and the angle getting tighter, Jackson hits the ball only to hit it just wide, and with that, Bucks started to pick their game up. South Bucks hit the long ball, which went off the back line, Wavish takes the 16 and tops the ball, straight into the path of the oppositions forward, who clinically puts into the bottom corner, 1-0 down and LB feeling abit hard done by, South Bucks feeling confident, putting Leighton under pressure with long hard shots into the D, where one of the opposition forwards got his shot away only for Wavish to deflect it past Jim Galloway. 2-0 down and halftime comes.
After a hard talking from the skipper at halftime, Leighton started the second half as they did the first (strongly), piling all the pressure onto the opposition, Leighton continued to get short corners but to no avail. After a quick subsitition Simon Childs came on, where Nash skilfully dribbled through Bucks midfield to find Childs unmarked, where he got his shot away to find the back of the net. 2-1 down and all to fight for. Leighton's tail were up and pressed high, causing the opposition to make mistakes and make bad passes, after another subsitition Daniel Wright came on. The midfield picked the ball up and passed it out left, and out right only to find Jackson free, where he run it into the D, twisting the defender round and hitting the ball onto his foot, short corner, Jackson injects, Wavish stops it and smashes it straight into the bottom right corner. 2-2 and 7 minutes to go. Leighton could feel it was there for the taking and kept a high press, with Riley getting involved with the attack, LB kept Bucks pinned in and finally won another short corner, final whistle blew, the whole LB team pushed up into final third, Jackson injects to Bellamy, who hits it only for it to be deflected wide, straight. Into the path of Fraser, who hits the ball across the D, to find Wright, who deflects it into the back of the net. 3-2 up and the final whistle blows. South Bucks were a little hard done by but 3 points for Leighton.
Man of the match Stuart Retford.
