Sun shining and goals a scoring

Leighton started the game strongly on a lovely sunny day, straight from the off The Buzzards controlled the game , with Daniel Wright receiving the ball in his own twenty three and going on a run, dodging pass players left, right and centre, into the d, round the goal keeper and missing an open goal. Only minutes later totally redeeming himself with some great link up play from Will Riley and Will Jenkinson, where they cut through the oppositions defence for Wright to smash one home. 1-0 up and things were looking good. Leighton continued to press and hunt the ball down, and quickly got the ball back, and with some more link up play from Fraser Retford, Simon Childs and Matt Nash this time, Nash scores one into the bottom corner. 2-0 up n The Buzzards were flying, getting into Hampsteads d on numerous occasions, but Leighton got countered on one occasion where they all pushed up and play broke down in the oppositions d, only for the ball to be hit towards their forward who was two thirds up the pitch unmarked, where he pushed it pass keeper Jim Galloway, who was rushing out of his goal. 2-1 n halftime came.
After the break and Leighton had to to regroup, The Buzzards started the same way as the first with a high press and not giving the opposition time on the ball, and that's where Craig Westley pinched the ball off a midfielder and ran at the defence, got into the d and smashed his shot towards the bottom corner only for Nash to get the final touch before crossing the line. 3-1 and order restored. West Hampstead pushed forward again only to be stopped by David Wavish, who smashed the ball clear, back to the oppositions defence, who then passed to their midfield, who then smashed it towards goal only for Tim Bellamy to try and stop it, but got injured in the process as it hit his wrist, and with that he had to go off.
With the game started again Leighton got back into their rhythm, with Nash looking for his third, and was quickly rewarded with his hat-trick, after dribbling pass a few defenders and pass the keeper. 4-1 and Leighton wasn't finished. With some quick counterattacks of their own, where Westley dribbling into the d and cooley flicked it into the roof of the net. 5-1 and with 15 minutes to go, and another quick attack led to David Jackson squeezing one pass the diving goal keeper. 6-1 final score.
