Leighton win an end-to-end match.

The game started with Leighton hoping to improve on the last few weeks performances. The first few minutes saw both sides testing each other out then Leighton started to apply pressure which saw Tommy Lakins pick up a pass move into Eastcote's penalty to hit home in the 17th minute. Leighton applied further pressure and were containing Eastcote and in the 24th minute Tommy Lakin's latched on to a Stuart Hart pass to thunderously put home Leighton's second. Leighton continued to apply pressure but just before half time Leighton lost their concentration and allowed Eastcote to move through the Leighton defence and score.

The second half turned slightly acrimonious but the Umpires kept it well under control. Almost directly from the restart Leighton attacked and Alex Brindle drifted into Eastcote's penalty area to latch on to a pass to score Leighton's third. However almost from the restart Eastcote attacked and found the Leighton defence on the back foot to score their second. At this point the game had a seesaw feel as straight from the restart again Leighton attacked and Alex Hewitt picked up the ball to make a cracking run into the Eastcote penalty area to score Leighton's fourth. From the restart Eastcote attacked and Leighton were unable to keep Eastcote out and they scored their third but controversial goal as an Eastcote player had kicked the ball before it was hit past the goal keeper. The next 10 minute saw frantic activity at both ends but nothing decisive happened until Dan Wright got the ball took it into the Eastcote penalty area to score Leighton's fifth. Again there was attack and counter attack from both side for the next 10 minute or so until Eastcote were able to crack the Leighton defence. But with the score at 5-4 in Leighton's favour they were able to hold out for the dying minutes of the game. It was a very good team effort.
