Fledglings lose twelve goal thriller

Tough luck on the Men's Fledglings today. 7-5 loss but scored some outstanding goals.
Dave Jackson scored the first with a lifted shot, the second and best goal was a fast break orchestrated by Chris Bourne and Jordan Field; Jordan's reverse cross thumped home by Chris.
The third was a p-flick expertly converted by Dan Lambert, as a Wycombe foot stopped a Pete Gale shot, following a superb short corner from Adrian Gotzheim.
Lambert got Leighton's fourth, a driving run and powerful finish from the top of the D following great work by Tim Bellamy and Gale. Bellamy completed Leighton's scoring with a short corner drilled into the bottom left hand side of the goal. With the result in doubt until the last minute, massive credit to both sides, Leighton unlucky not to get something from the game but Wycombe 5 worthy winners who scored some truly outstanding goals of their own.
Credit to all Leighton's players today but special mention to Leighton GK Daniel Koolman, still only 13 he just keeps getting better and better. Also another great display from Howard Gregory, who deservedly gets the MOTM for Leighton.
Thanks also to messrs. Fry and Gage for excellent umpiring and keeping the game flowing. Can always count on them to award a short corner when the game needs a goal.
