The ladies twos made it two wins from two with a 4-1 victory over Tring. Battling hard from the start, the game started with end to end hockey, with Leighton getting few opportunities. Some hard work was put in by the backs, with Sally Retford clearing a high shot from the line to deny Tring an early lead. With 7 minutes left in the half, a ball by Katie Jackson through the midfield found Lucie Webster on the top of the D, and was slipped to Clare Farrow who made it 1-0 at halftime. The second half saw more end to end hockey, with Sarah Ayres setting up Farrow who made it 2-0. The third and fourth goals followed in quick succession, one from open play from Emily Smith and a short stuck by Jackson and touched home by Webster. Leighton defended hard in the closing minutes, including another cleared off the line, but a Tring short corner was unfortunately slipped in by the post, making the final score 4-1.
