The ladies drew away at Hertfordshire university against Welwyn 2s. Welwyn took an early goal minutes into the game leaving them 1-0 against Leighton. Leighton battled back with two short corners narrowly missing their chance to equalise the score. Third time lucky saw a strong strike from Player of the Match Katie Jackson and nifty deflection from Sarah Ayres to secure Leighton 1-1 before half time. Both teams worked hard throughout the second half seeing solid defence from Leighton Buzzard including Player of the Match Lisa Patrick. Good spacing and fast ball movement from Player of the Match Gemma Jones saw Leighton combining all players strengths between midfield and forwards again narrowly missing a chance to take the lead. Both teams maximising the use of their press lead the final score to a 1-1 draw.
