Let's not talk about this one...

The ladies 2s lost their first match of the season this week with an unfortunate 2-1 loss to Berkhamstead and Hemel. Berkhamstead started quicker than Leighton, coming out hard from the whistle and pressing forward. At 3 minutes, pressure in the D was converted to put Leighton on the back foot. Leighton rallied, with joint player of the match Andii Chandler stopping one on the line to keep Leighton at 1-0. Fellow joint players of the match Chloe Alecock and Lucie Webster put in hard shifts in pressing forward, with many opportunities being created. Unfortunately, Leighton couldn't guide these into the goal, and the second half saw them concede against the run of play. Again, Leighton fought back, with Katie Jackson scoring a short corner with 15 minutes to go. Despite continuing to dominate play, Leighton couldn't find another goal, making the final score 2-1
