Ladies 2s take a point away from home

The ladies 2s took away a point from an away match vs Cheshunt this week. Leighton started with their characteristic positivity, pushing high and forcing several errors as Cheshunt failed to get the ball through their press. Several attempts on goal were made, but with Cheshunt piling numbers into their defensive D, the ball could not be forced through. Cheshunt saw some opportunities, using a high player to force a break, resulting in a run of short corners just before halftime. Leighton's defence held strongly, with player of the match Suzy Mounter clearing one off the line to keep the score at 0-0. The second half saw Leighton continue to press high, with shots being put in by the attack, but neither team was able to break the deadlock.
