Leighton 3s vs. Letchworth 3s

The ladies 3s opened their league campaign away at Letchworth with an evenly matched game not reflected by the final score.

Letchworth were first on the scoresheet but Leighton responded with Sarah Whelton converting the first penalty corner. Play was end to end with Letchworth breaking the deadlock just before half time with a well taken aerial goal.

The second half saw chances at both ends with defender Katie Fitzpatrick stopping 3 shots on the goal line, but despite some great defending and excellent midfield work from PoM Gemma Stapley Letchworth capitalised on a penalty corner and later finished the game off with a goal on the break to run out 4-1 winners.
