Ladies 3s vs Letchworth

Ladies 3s travelled away to Letchworth with a new formation and a new squad and put on a superlative display of hockey. Following a new style of warm up they started the game in a high gear and kept it going for 70 minutes. Letchworth tried to push forward but found it difficult to get past Sally Retford and Suzy Mounter in defence. Excellent attacking from wing backs Roo Fielder and Riley Maze-Brown saw some great chances and a penalty corner, Llinos Coleman slipped to Caroline Hill who swept home for the opener. The attack continued with Riley making some great penetrating runs and hitting home for the second. Inners Emily Heale and Harriet Knights continued the push forward with Harriet striking from the top of the D to net the third. Keeper Jo Wells kept the Letchworth attack at bay and a first strike PC from Caroline sealed the result.
