In a close game, played at a high tempo, with both sides trying to play passing hockey, a fair result was achieved in a 1 all draw.
It was a great team effort from the Men's 3s today. Banbury took the lead early in the second half, converting a p-flick after a Leighton foot stopped the ball on the line. However with midfielders Stuart Hart, Kane Sanders, Daniel Wright and Tom Handley taking the fight to Banbury, Leighton's pressure was eventually rewarded.
A cracking short corner conversion from David Jackson levelled the score, following good passing interplay between Hart and Simon Childs. POTM was the outstanding Jim Galloway: positive, decisive and in total command of his 23.
Thanks to Banbury, for a game played in a great spirit, with top quality play and excellent umpires.
