Leighton ladies 1st team started strong against opposition Ilford and Redbridge with dynamic attacking play from the beginning. A cracking ball into the D by Kirsty Scrivener was efficiently deflected by Riley to bring the score to 1 0. Many scoring opportunities followed with the ball not quite ending up in the net. Leighton continued to play tightly as a team with Hollie Taylor finally scoring to make the final score 2 0.

Player of the match was Clare Jackson, she worked tirelessly across the midfield, and was always there to pick up the through ball from the opposition. A well deserved secure win for the ladies first team.
