Leighton Buzzard 1s vs Harpenden 1s

Leighton ladies played away at Harpenden. After an excellent draw against top of league the previous week, the ladies went into the game feeling confident of a win and were ready to take 3 points. With a few positional changes on the field Leighton didn't start as settled as they had hoped and felt under pressure to begin. Eventually after some strong attacking play from Gemma Jones and Charlotte Ashton it led a strong ball in to new coming Nell Maze Brown who was to slip it to Hollie Taylor securing the first goal.

After this flurry of action, Leighton had momentum and with a quick steal from Kirsty Scrivener off of harpenden defence she was able to drive into the D , leading to a quick pass into Hollie Taylor on post to sneak past another.

Leighton went into the 2nd half leading with 2 goals, however Harpenden came out strong and secured a short corner, they were able to secure a goal from this.

The game continued to be a battle by both teams but no more goals were secured and finished 2-1 to Leighton Buzzard.

Player of the match was junior Nell Maze Brown , joining the ladies 1s for her debut.
