Leighton Buzzard Ladies 2nd Team vs Stevenage

After a determined performance last week with no avail, LB ladies 2s were focused & ready for their match against Stevenage 3s. The team started strong with some good sound passing & were clearly on top of the game. They were rewarded before half time with a goal from Emily Smith. The team continued to battle hard but somehow couldnt convert their well worked chances into goals. The team continued to play some great hockey with lovely team work from all players. Stevenage 3s got a lucky break which resulted in the equalising goal. LB continued to dominate but conceeded a short corner in the last 5 minutes of the game. The opposition capitalised & unfortunately there wasnt enough time for LB to respond & to say that the team was disappointed, is a massive understatement. The ladies will be more determined to get a winning result next week. Well done to Llinos & Hannah for joint player of the match. Final score: LB Ladies 2s, 1 & Stevenage 3s, 2.
