T'was 39 days till Christmas and Leighton Buzzard Ladies 2s ventured over the M1 to Luton. The weather was akin to an English summer disposition: overcast - not too chilly. Pete's mittens were out.

Luton scored first but Emily Smith equalised shortly after. There was some great link-up play and roll outs Fibonacci would be proud of. Some fantastic runs down the pitch and some strong defending, but Luton were very good at converting their opportunities into goals.

Leighton entered the second half a few goals short of winning when Katie Jackson thwacked the ball into goal. Despite running like demons, intercepting and chasing down balls, plus some really great supporting play, it wasn't Leighton's day.

It shouldn't take much more than 20/25 minutes to get to Challney school. Ideally we want to meet there close to 11 am but I am not sure what time the gates will be opened to let the players in.
