Finals Day

This week saw England playing Netherlands and Argentina playing Australia.
Despite the teams knowing England had won the title, they all played like anyone take the title.

The England v Netherlands game was end to end excitement with fantastic displays of passing. Both teams battled hard and the end result did not reflect the number of attempts to score by both teams.
The Goalkeepers David Galloway and Liam McKean were kept busy. They both made some amazing saves which meant the final result was kept low, England 3-0 Netherlands.

Argentina v Australia
A game which produced an unexpected result. Australia started off strongly as expected putting pressure on the Argentinian goal but resolute defending kept them out. Then at the end off the first quarter a sudden Argentine breakaway resulted in a goal. The rest of the half saw Australia trying to equalise with wave after wave of attacks. The second half saw Argentina come into their own scoring three goals in quick succession. But then Australia struck back scoring 3 quick goals which raised their hopes however in the last couple of minutes Argentina struck again to seal a well deserved win 5-3.

As it was the final day for Junior Summer League it meant it was also awards time!
