Every Thursday evening from 22nd May to 31st July, the beach (aka Vandyke Upper School Astro) comes alive with laughter, competition, and the unmistakable rustle of crisp packets. That’s right—the Mixed Summer League is back, and this year’s theme is as flavourful as it gets: CRISP FLAVOURS.
The Battle for the Tom Hughes Shield
Six spirited teams battle it out, each with their eyes firmly set on the coveted Tom Hughes Shield. Over the course of 11 weeks, they’ll face off in a round-robin format, with every match bringing them one step closer to glory—or one step closer to the Wooden Spoon.
Weekly Crunch
Matches take place every Thursday evening, transforming the pitch into a festival of fun, fitness, and friendly rivalry. Whether you're a player, a supporter, or just a fan of crisps and community spirit, there’s something for everyone.
More Than Just a Game
The Mixed Summer League isn’t just about competition—it’s about connection. With six matches a week there is plenty of opportunities to mingle, it’s a highlight of the Leighton Buzzard summer calendar. And with the crisp theme, you can bet there’ll be plenty of cheesy jokes and salty banter.
Stay Tuned
We’ll be sharing regular updates throughout the summer. So, grab your favourite flavour, follow along, and get ready to cheer on your team as they crunch their way to victory!
