Leighton looked to continue their unbeaten start to the season, hosting Henley.
The home team were slow to start, with plenty of pressure on the Leighton defence in the opening minutes. The mounting pressure resulted in an opposition striker having time to pick his spot, slotting away the first goal.
This kicked Leighton into life, responding through a stupendous short corner drag flick from Nick Marshall. The game opened up after the equaliser, with both teams scoring further goals before half time through excellent work from Tommy Lakins and man of the match David Fry, to leave the score at 3-2 to Henley at half time.
Henley began to look the more dominant team in the second half, and a further 2 goals were scored through a quickly counter attacking Henley. Jacob Bradding stepped up with some excellent saves after a scramble at the back to keep Henley within site.
Final score 5-2 to Henley.
