Leighton Buzzard Mens 2s were away against Aylesbury 3s. The game started in favour of Leighton as they dominated the early stages. A short corner was awarded to Buzzard; captain Tim Bellamy opened the scoring with a hard push to the far post. A second goal came soon after from Kevin Abranches with a cracking reverse hit to the near post. Half time came and the Buzzard were 2-0 up. Leighton continued to play well and the lead was soon increased to 3 as Fraser Retford came up from wing back to calmly place the ball in the goal. Finley Bell Taylor received a green card for a poorly timed tackle, however shortly after coming back into the pitch, he scored, smashing the ball through the keepers legs and getting a deflection off a defender. The match was coming to a close but Leighton weren’t finished, Retford decided to make his way up the pitch again, a good piece of play from the right wing led to him firmly pushing the ball against the backboard for the second time and sealing the game at a comfortable 5-0.
