Leighton Buzzard Ladies 1st XI vs Broxbourne 2's

Leighton Buzzard Ladies 1st XI travelled to Broxbourne on Saturday to play their third league fixture. With a depleted squad and only one substitute the ladies were prepared for an intense match, requiring 100 percent from every player. This is what every player delivered.

The ladies were up 1-0 at half time but with very little eat time the ladies knew they were in for a tough second half.

A few mistake crept into the side and Broxbourne made the most of it. With a minute to go it was 2-2.

It was truly a game for the midfield and forwards with an impressive press leaving Broxbourne with very few options other than moving the ball from left to right. Then finally we took possession of the ball and Sarah Plummer scored the winning goal in the last seconds of the game.

Terrific performance from Amber Kelly and Kirsty Scrivener was player of the match.
