Leighton Buzzard Ladies 1st XI played host to St Albans 4's this Saturday.
After a disappointing match the previous week the ladies started in much better form. The switching across the back was impressive and the movement off the ball from players like Megan Claggett and Lisa Edwards helped enormously. Cathy Connolly (player of the match) played hard and was key to keeping the opposition from breaking through. At half time the score was 2-0 but everyone was aware that they needed to keep the same intensity as played in the first half.
The start of the second half was not quite as hoped but eventually the team remembered that the passing game works.
The final score was 3-1, scorers: Hollie Taylor, Kirsty Scrivener and Rhianna Baker.
