Leighton Buzzard ladies 1st XI played away to Luton this Saturday.
Leighton buzzard ladies 1 went into the game with their heads held high and striving to improve on last week’s performance. Leighton started off strong with fantastic communication and good passing round the back. As the game went on Leighton had a few chances at goal, especially from Holly Taylor with a reverse flick but saved marginally from the opposition. However Gabbie Avola finally got one in the back of the goal with a superb hit. Not long after another hit from Gabbie let Rhianna Baker got a touch and into the goal. There were a few short corners in the first half but other than that Leighton saw a strong first half. The second half for Leighton buzzard was unsettled in places however they stayed strong and worked for each other. There were many short corners during the second half but the defence stayed strong and only conceded one goal. To round off the second half a goal from Kirsty Scrivener saw the score go to 3-1.
