A win against top of the table

Leighton Buzzard Ladies 1s started off the game really well considering the early start! Saffron Walden battled hard but couldn't keep Leightons first goal out, which was scored by Hollie Taylor.

After half time Leighton were only ahead by 1-0, which meant the game could have gone either way. Leighton continued to put pressure on Saffron Walden which followed another fantastic team goal by Gabbie Avola who pushed it past the keeper into the bottom corner. Leighton continued to battle the weather didn't help the circumstances but Saffron Walden were awarded with a penalty flick which they scored making the score line 2-1, the game continued to be end to end but finally the whistle went and Leighton defeated top of the league!
