Another cold drizzly game for the Ladies 1's but everyone was determined that the weather would not be a distraction. It certainly wasn't as the team started really well. The passing game worked effectively against Bedford. Sarah Plummer scored an early goal giving Leighton Buzzard the confidence to work for the second. This came from Hollie Taylor.
The second half was not as impressive. Leighton let Bedford take control putting unnecessary pressure on the defence. Disappointingly Leighton gave away the lead and the final score was 2-2.
Some great hockey though and the team work was outstanding. Kathy Connolly was player of the match.
