Solid performance against top of the table

Ladies 1s played at home to top of the league Bishop Stortford with the great British windy weather with them. Leighton started the first half off very strong with the press making it very hard for them to break through which let Leighton get an early break through scoring our first goal by Sarah Plummer. The rest of half saw both sides playing very well with the tough conditions and Leighton getting there second goal scored by Clare Farrow with a beautiful chip over the keeper not long before half time.
The whistle started for the second half where no more goals were scored but some lovely hockey was played by both teams. Bishop Stortford were getting more frustrated with very strong attack and strong press by seeing one of there players get a yellow card. The result finished 2-0 to Leighton Buzzard ladies 1st team.
