Goals again!

Leighton Buzzard Ladies 1st XI played away against Harpenden 2's on a very wet, cold afternoon.

The team were determined to put their last couple of disappointing results behind them, which is exactly what they did.

The volume was high from the off and before to long the team were 2-0 up, thanks to Hollie Taylor smashing a goal home.

Harpenden were never going to be a walkover though and despite some strong defending from Anna Carter and Carolyn Pinky Floyd the opposition scored before half time.

From the start of the second half Leighton Buzzard attacked as a unit, stretched the play and put into practice all their training theory. Kathy Connolly powered a ball over the back line, Hollie Taylor came close to scoring a ha trick only to be beaten on the line by a lovely poaching goal from Sarah Plummer.

The final result was 6-1, players of the match Clare Jackson and Hollie Taylor.
