Team work…works!
The Ladies 1st XI played at home against Potters Bar on Saturday. The team was focused and fully prepared for a tough game and they knew that they needed to stick to their game plan and play positively. This is exactly what happened.
The girls were encouraging each other and working hard as individuals as well as for their team mates. At half time it was 1-0 as a result of Vice Captain, Hollie Taylor smashing the ball into the back of the net.
It was a tight battle and it was going to all come down to which team wanted it the most.
The LBHC defence kept composed under pressure and the attackers did exactly as their Manager, Paul Plummer asked. As a result the girls scored two more goals. One from a short corner as Gabbie Avola, player of the match, blasted the ball to the roof of the net the other came from Sarah Plummer who had the tenacity to ensure that a goal line scrap resulted in the ball crossing the line for Leighton Buzzard. Final result 3 – 0 to the LBHC Ladies 1st XI.
