Leighton Buzzard Ladies 1's played away today against Luton. The girls were immediately put under pressure and conceded a few short corners which Luton converted, so the ladies were 2-0 down quite early on in the game. It was difficult for the team to play their usual good quality passing game as Luton didn't give the team a great deal of space but fortunately Leighton managed to slot a goal in just before halftime.
The second half provided the girls with more opportunities and a few more attacking corners and Luton let their heads drop. Fitzy converted a flick to bring the score level at 2-2. The team dug deep and scored from a short corner to take the lead. With 8 minutes to go the battle intensified. Thankfully Rach (GK) kept her focus and made a crucial save at the end of the game. Final result 3-2 to LBHC 1's. Scores Sarah, Kathy and Fitzy. PoM Rach!
