A frosty defeat for the Ladies 1st XI

The frosty start and deliberations about whether the match should be played or not did not suit the Ladies 1st XI this week and their usual focus and discipline wavered. It was always going to be difficult to get round a defensive team and this week the girls were unable to manage the challenge and unfortunately lost 2-1, Gabbie Avola being our goal scorer.

There were some solid performances though and yet again our keeper Rachael Kinchett made some required saves.

The team didn't give up though and played with determination right up to the final whistle when Gabbie just was beaten by the post which would have evened up the game.

The team will re-group and up their game for next Saturday when they play at home again.
