3 - 2 win against Shefford and Sandy

With the team missing a number of regular players this week it was a game for the newcomers to show their capabilities and that is what they certainly did.
The home side started really well with a cracking goal from Gabbie Avola and Lauren Avery. It was hard work but everyone pulled together and showed the opposition that this was not going to be an easy game.
The girls were delighted to take some drinks on board at half time, catch their breath and get ready for the second half. This match was Emily Dundas and Lauren Avery's first league match this season for the ladies 1's and they were so impressive. The same applies to the whole squad.
Unfortunately Shefford and Sandy came back hard in the second half and with 5 minutes to go it was 2- 2. Thankfully Leighton Buzzard had a short corner in the last minutes of the game, which Gabbie Avola converted to make the final result 3 - 2 to Leighton Buzzard 1's. Player of the match was Lauren Avery.
