Leighton buzzard ladies 1s vs East London ladies 2s

Leighton had their last game this half of the season against second from top East London, they knew it was going to be a battle but were up for the fight!

Leighton buzzard started off strong with some great attacking play by Hollie Taylor and Kirstie Scrivner to get into East Londons D. East London defended very well and managed to hold off the attack, leighton buzzard kept battling up front and in midfield. Leighton then had a period which required Clare Fitzboydon, Natalie Walter, Anna Carter and Charlotte Ashton to really soak up the pressure in Leighton defensive half, they did this superbly well and held off East London. Just before half time East London managed to win a attacking short corner which resulted in a 1-0 lead.

Leighton Buzzard continued to mount on the pressure, with some great crosses from Gabbie Avola, Kathy Connolly and Clare Jackson, however East London defence were hard to defeat. Fatigued starting to kick in and and East london managed to score another goal making the score line 2-0.
