Leighton ladies 2s remain 3rd in the table despite a disappointing result away to West Herts. Leighton started strongly, but end to end play resulted in a goal being scrambled into the goal by West Werts. Leighton responded by piling on the pressure, winning a short corner which was slipped in at the post by Sharon Avola to make it 1-1 at half time. The second half started with an early short corner being conceded, a straight strike by Herts putting them back in the lead. A strong defensive performance kept Herts at bay for the rest of the match, however, Leighton were unable to score again leaving the final score at 2-1. Man of the match went to Laura Swanston for a strong performance in the midfield
