Ladies 2s back to winning ways

The ladies 2s walked away with all three points and remain 3rd in the table following their home match against Rickmansworth. The match was end to end throughout the first half, Leighton getting in some good positions but not able to get the upper hand. Good defending, including from man of the match Lisa Patrick, meant that Rickmansworth did not breakthrough, with the score-line 0-0 at halftime. Leighton came out strongly in the second half, creating more movement and pressing high, being rewarded with a goal put home by Sharon Avola. Keeping the pressure on, Leighton had several great chances, and Emily Smith soon doubled the lead. Leighton continued to dominate for the rest of the match to take the win; final score 2-0
