A match against local rivals Vauxhall Chiltern had a frustrating end as Leighton travelled away this week.
Leighton dominated the play of the first half, holding much of the possession and looking dangerous in the attack. Just before half-time, a long ball from Chiltern went through the Leighton press and the high forward found the backboard to give Chiltern the advantage at half time.
Chiltern pressed this advantage after the break, winning a short corner that was hammered home to extend their lead. Despite strong defending and continual hard work from the Leighton side, another short corner was soon awarded and scored to put Leighton 3 behind. Leighton rallied and continued to press, being rewarded when a cross from man of the match Kyrsty Hardy was collected and scored by Clare Farrow. However, there was not enough time to continue the fight, the 3-1 defeat putting Leighton 5th in the league.
