Leighton Buzzard Ladies 2s vs St Albans 4s

The ladies 2s travelled away to St Albans for their 4th league match of the season. The team started well dominating the first 10 minutes. With great play from the Chrissie, Ella, Lauren, Llinos and the forwards allowed leighton buzzard to have some chances on goal. St Albans had a quick break which unfortunately resulted in a goal. The defence made up of Emma, Sally, Emily and Jemima, and midfield continued to battle to keep the ball out of the 'D' with GK Ruth making some super saves. St Albans got a short corner which resulted in their second goal. Leighton buzzard continued to play well and create chances and finished half time 2-0 down. After a good half time talk, Leighton buzzard once again started the first half strong. The forwards, Sharon, Neve and Lisa; running into space allowed the midfield and defence to push up and feed the ball into the 'D' putting pressure on St Albans defence. St Albans continued to press hard putting pressure on Leighton Buzzard, they received many short corners but the defence and GK Ruth kept them at bay. With another break St Albans crossed the ball and scored their third goal, soon after they received a short corner allowing them to score their fourth goal. Leighton continued to battle but unfortunately couldn't find the back of the goal. Man of the match went to the amazing GK Ruth who made some incredible saves.
